You may notice that we’ve made some changes to Postach.io’s user interface lately in order to make room for some new features (you can read more about what’s been done in our latest updates here).

Here’s the low down on some of the changes that people have asked about and some tips on how to deal with them:

1. Evernote Sourcing Changes

We’ve made some changes to the way Evernote notebooks are synced with Postach.io. Now, if you create a new site or dis/reconnect to Evernote, we automatically create a new notebook for you with the same name as your site’s URL.

Why did we do this?

This was done is order to minimize the occurrence of syncing issues that previously required a manual sync to fix. This new system gets along much better with Evernote’s API, and will work seamlessly with new features to improve usability and security.

Troubleshooting?

Got sync issues? Run through this troubleshooting checklist! Still not working? Do not fear, hope is not lost!

Simply disconnect Evernote, refresh, and reconnect Evernote. Upon doing so, we will create a new notebook for you with the same name as your site’s URL. Next, select all of the notes from your old Postach.io notebook (with click > shift+click) and move them to the new one by right clicking on the note snippets and selecting “Move to Notebook".

We apologize for giving you this extra step to take - rest assured, these new notebooks will be much more reliable in the future as we add new features!

2. Temporary Changes to Social Sharing

Before this most recent update, you could connect Postach.io to you social profiles and then share posts upon publishing with the tags “tweet" or “fb". Unfortunately, this feature had numerous bugs associated with it. Many of you are upset to see this feature go - we are too. We’ll bring back a new and improved version of this feature when we finish some other updates.

What to do in the mean time...

We still allow you to ‘auto-share’ posts as soon as you publish them! Simply connect your social profiles within site settings here:
and then check the ‘auto-share’ box under Settings…

We will continue to keep you updated on our progress as we prepare new features for Postach.io!
